Viter Ukrainian Folk Choir to perform at Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival & release debut CD album

Our Viter Ukrainian Folk Choir is excited to be joining many other talented performers at this year's Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival!  For a full list of performers and biographies, follow the link:   http://www.ukrainianfestival.com/performer_bio_2014.htm

Viter Ukrainian Folk Choir was formed in 2008 and started with a group of people passionate about Ukrainian folk music and sharing that passion with others through performances in the Edmonton area.  Under the direction of conductor Lesia Pohoreski, in time the choir's popularity grew as did opportunities for performances both as a choir and as an ensemble, which resulted in tours to South America, Ukraine and in Canada.  The choir was formed to accompany the Viter Ukrainian Dancers, currently under the artistic directorship of Tasha Orysiuk, and ensemble presentations include both combination song/dance numbers and solo choir pieces.  The Viter Ukrainian Folk Choir is a very energetic and effervescent performing group bringing audiences to their feet in appreciation as we share our energy and passion for Ukrainian folk music with them.

Viter's first CD of Ukrainian folk songs was recorded in 2014 and we are excited to share the release of this CD with participants at the Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival in Toronto!
